Don’t Overdo Contrast
Contrast can make or break a photo but it can often be a mistake to go a bit too over the top on contrast. If you want to bring out some colour in a picture and give it more vibrancy then altering the contrast can be a good shot, but it should be used sparingly.
When you add too much contrast to an image, details can be lost in darkness, while the colours do not tend to represent the real colours of the subjects and the surroundings on that particular day. You also have to remember that just because an image looks fairly light and faint on your screen, it may not on somebody else’s, and overdoing contrast can actually ruin a nice image.
In some cases, only certain areas will need an added touch of vibrancy, and you don’t necessarily have to change all of the colours in your photo to get a bolder look.
